STICK CONTROL
Stick Control for the Snare Drummer by George Lawrence Stone has every single permutation of left and right sticking combinations. Take a look at the first page and slowly go through it. Turn off the snares so it is the cleanest sound. Notice, the exercises go down in a column instead of left ro right. Make all strokes sound exactly the same. Once you learn the sticking pattern, close your eyes and really listen.
When you have done this with the hands, assign different body parts to the left and right. For instance, right foot and left hand. This will help you relax while using different body parts. It is will also help your coordination and timing. Use a metronome!
